Open Tryouts for the Competitive Team
Open tryouts will be held:
July 25, 26, & 27 at 2:30 PM at James E Taylor High School (enter through door #49 at the main gymnasium complex)
August 21, 22, & 23 at 6:00 PM at the Creekstone Community pool at 22002 Eagle Meadow Drive, in Katy.
During the regular season, tryouts are held on Wednesdays. Please call to schedule an appointment. 832-622-2561
Requirements for the competitive team are that all swimmers must be familiar with all four competition strokes plus starts, turns, and underwaters. Swimmers will be asked to perform a legal 100 yard Individual Medley.
Open Tryouts for Shark School
Open tryouts for our Shark School academy are on August 30 at Taylor High School. Doors open at 4:30 PM. Enter through door #49 at the main gymnasium complex to the rear of the 9th Grade Center.
Successful applicants must be able to swim one full 25 yard length of the Taylor High School pool using freestyle or backstroke, unassisted.
Be advised -- the pool is cold and practice is in the diving well. Safety is our primary concern. The ability to listen quietly and take direction from the coach is mandatory. We do not take 5 year olds into the program.

Our main practice location is the James E Taylor High School pool, located at 20700 Kingsland Blvd in Katy.
